  • Our next scheduled show is Friday June 19th, 2026 when we will be opening for the legendary Simply Saucer at Clifford Brewing.  Show starts at 7pm.   Hope to see you there!

  • The next show after that is July 11th, 2026 when we will be heading to Ancaster to play the Coach and Lantern.  We'll post more details as we get closer to the show.

  • Great News!!  Beer With The Brown Notes - Volume 2 is now up on our YouTube page.   We visited Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. in Dundas, played 4 new songs and sampled 4 new beers.

    • Who are we?

    We're a 4-man band out of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  We have a wealth of original music which we want to share with the world.  We're influenced by, and also play various covers of, Ween, Guided By Voices (GBV) and Wilco, among many others.

    We've been labelled as a Beatlesque band of musical mauraders (shout-out and thanks to Famous Framus and Canuck Tunes) and since our music style varies so much, we can't really be pinned to one genre.

          The Brown Notes are:

    Ian Wallace - Guitar, Harmonica and Vocals

    Shawn Tonello - Bass Guitar, Effects and Vocals
